Althing 2017

Thursday, October 12 through Sunday, October 15, 2017.
Moran State Park,
Orcas Island, WA

The Althing is an annual gathering sponsored by the Irminsul Ættir to celebrate the traditions of the Old Norse and Germanic people. The event is open to all who wish to participate in frið and goodwill. Come explore the mysteries and magic of the runes and seið, participate in rituals and rites honoring the Norse/Germanic gods, learn new skills and meet new people as we celebrate Winterfinding with traditional harvest feasting, sumble, workshops, an auction and many other activities.

This year’s event will again be held at the ELC in the Moran State Park on beautiful Orcas Island. The facilities include a modern kitchen and meeting hall as well as group cabins in a private wooded setting. Canoes are available for exploring the adjoining lake.

Classes, and special guests to be announced.

Price for the full event Thursday through Sunday is $55.00 per person. This includes meals, cabin space and activities.

Price for Friday or Saturday is $25.00. This includes meals and activities only.

Children under 16 are free when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Please note: The event will be held under a strict declaration of Frið (Peace).
