The Springfield Vinnuhopur is a open/public group to study and practice the ways of Northern European historical paganism [historical paganism is to distinguish us from other forms of neo-paganism based upon Ceremonal magick and Wicca] with an emphasis on Ásatrú.
The group will meet two times per month for study. The first series will be a rune seminar in which the group will go back to the rune poems and other historical runic texts. The goal is that each member will build up a personal meaningful runic system which is realistically based. A newsletter will soon be published for free local distribution as a means to educate the public about Northern Paganism and as a marketing tool for the group. Diversity and openess will be a guiding principle for the group.
The Rune seminar will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, the 2nd
and 4th Wednsday of every month (as long as interest lasts)
